Wavelength Pop-Up Gallery
January 22 to February 15, 2015
Huntclub Studios, 709 College St.
#WL15
Wavelength takes over emerging artist gallery Huntclub Studios from January 22 to February 15, 2015 to create the Wavelength Pop-Up Gallery, a temporary community hub for independent music and arts in Toronto. Located on College Street in Little Italy, this unique storefront space is a blink-if-you-miss-it venue, marrying DIY punk spirit with entrepreneurial, curatorial flair at this most frigid time of year. It hosts a “Wavelength: Past, Present and Future” art exhibition featuring archival posters, concert photography and curated installations, as well as a free Sunday afternoon Wavelength Talk Series including artist workshops and panel discussions, and a Pop-Up Show Series of intimate multi-media concerts and events. All this activity will warm up the Toronto music scene for Wavelength Music Festival 15, the weekend-long bonanza taking place February 13-15.
The Pop-Up Gallery opens on January 22 with a free launch party featuring Wavelength alumni Petra Glynt and Zoo Owl.
