A strange thing I noticed this year is that I almost expressly listen to Canadian music now. Piles and piles of new cassettes from all corners of the country containing anything from the sweetest ambience to the harshest noise. Canada is ripe with nascent and quickly growing talent, all rooted in bubbling scenes that have multitudes of tendrils that spread and reach far. I do know too that there are many treasure chests that lay still buried, many flavours of fruit not yet savoured.
