You know this fall is going to be scary already. And the year’s best holiday? Halloween isn’t going to be the same. Thankfully, there is LIVESCREAM. Wavelength has unmasked plans for its online Halloween party – featuring livestreamed performances by gothic-horror art-rock sister duo Bonnie Trash and eerie electronic soundwave manipulator Leucrocuta.
Both sets will be accompanied by eye-popping original visuals, by Bonnie Trash and Dot Starkey. And the online event will be hosted by frightfully fantabulous horror drag troupe, The Diet Ghosts.
About the artists
Bonnie Trash
Guelph, Ontario’s Bonnie Trash is the grungy, psych-goth project of twin sisters Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor. They mix communication theory, social commentary, horror, and their ancestral Italian folklore into their heavy yet pop-laden music. Since the release of Ezzelini’s Dead in 2017, Bonnie Trash has taken this project to many festivals in Ontario, Quebec, and East Coast Canada. Bonnie Trash are ready to record their first full length, Malocchio.
Leucrocuta
Leucrocuta is an electronic project from Toronto. Her sound draws its influence from industrial, ambient and outsider synth-pop, and “feels like a dream often on fast forward” (Intersection Festival). In February of 2019, she released a full-length experimental electronic album on Lost Angles, Exorcizes in Loneliness (NOW Magazine, Best music of the week), and in July 2020, an avant-pop record, how I touched it last, on Kentron Records. Leucrocuta performs with her partner and Lost Angles label owner, Dot Starkey, a vaporwave producer and 3D artist.
The Diet Ghosts
Spooky, calculated, and stupid. The Diet Ghosts are a family of miscreants that haunt Toronto’s nightlife. Consisting of Aura Nova, Lucinda Miu, Kitty Creature, and Lady Kunterpunt, the Diet Ghosts are known for their unique combination of drag, burlesque, horror, and theatrics. The Diet Ghosts strive to put on a goddamn show!!
