YUNJIN (Yunjin Claire Lee) is a Korean-Canadian DJ, producer and musician. A sought-after keyboard and synth player in the Toronto music community, Yunjin brings an experimental and electronic influence to a number of local bands including the Sam Tudor band, Ten Moon, Dilettante and more. She debuted her first DJ mix online in summer 2022. Since then she has played Toronto dance floors as well as a diverse range of spaces around the country. A digital crate digger and lover of the esoteric, Yunjin’s sets prioritize all things danceable and fun while introducing her audiences to her distinctive taste in deep cuts and hidden gems.
Yunjin also creates as a part of an electronic music duo KARLA, where she brings together luscious and euphoric synth-driven soundscapes with breakbeats, minimal techno and electro. KARLA (YUNJIN and Yoni Newman) launched their event series Rogue Waves (2023), The Karla and Friends Variety Show (2022), and HIT PLAY (2022-present), aiming to bring together producers, DJs and hardware acts from different corners of the ever-growing Toronto’s underground scene.
