Maddee is a Toronto-based queer vocalist, producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and event curator. At 21 years old, her music fuses genres of R&B, jazz, indie, and experimental electronic. This innovative approach to music has led to collaborations with fellow Toronto-based artists such as Harrison, Charlotte Day Wilson, Young Clancy, Shagabond and Birthday Boy. By working alongside fellow artists in her community, Maddee’s music works to further cultivate and represent diversity.
Her debut EP ‘Red Mind’, which features collaborations with some of Toronto’s emerging talent – Gray Rowan, Louie Short and Danny Voicu (justandonly) – reveals a sparkling web of jazz-indebted R&B and downtempo electronic sound, which has since earned her acclaim from publications such as Lyrical Lemonade, Now Magazine, CBC, and many more. As of late, she’s been busy working on her second project to be released later this year.
