Cloud Nothings have been chasing the Holy Grail of mixing pop with punk – and ending up with a potion stronger than either on its own — since 2009. Maybe it’s their Cleveland rust-belt roots that give their melodic Midwestern rage such authenticity — at their best, Dylan Baldi’s songs recall the heyday of Hüsker Dü and the Replacements.
