Bonnie Trash is the horror-gaze/post-punk drone project by twin sisters Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor. Together, they create soundtracks to the horror stories they want to tell, drawing inspiration from social commentary, the supernatural, and ancestral folklore.
Emerging from the shadows to declare love from beyond the grave, their newest EP, ‘My Love Remains the Same’ is out now. The recent addition of longtime friends Emma Howarth-Withers (bass) and Dana Bellamy (drums) gives the group a new lavish and layered sound, with this expanded lineup featured on their new EP.
While this Canadian band traverses the cosmos of clear-cut genre classifications, the following statements from Canadian music giant Exclaim! are crystal clear, describing Bonnie Trash as “one of Canada’s hidden gems,” “our best-kept secret,” and “poised to take over the globe.”
