Toronto singer, composer and pianist Anastasia Minster unveils her latest album, Song of Songs, at a Wavelength-presented evening of neoclassical noir chamber pop sounds. Taking place in the cozily gothic atmosphere of St. Anne’s Parish Hall, this show will be a hot date for lovers of romantic piano music. Solo cello rock star Raphael Weinroth-Browne, who wowed the crowd opening for Hania Rani at the same venue in 2022, will perform both solo and as part of Minster’s quartet.

About Song of Songs:

Anastasia Minster’s third album, Song of Songs (released October 2024), is a conceptual album inspired by the ancient poem, exploring the multifaceted nature of love. The album features beautiful orchestral arrangements performed by the Canadian Studio Symphony. Song of Songs is an artistic fusion of jazz piano, classical influences, and Anastasia’s haunting vocals. The album’s eight tracks range from grand orchestral pieces to intimate jazz-inspired compositions, featuring Raphael Weinroth-Browne on cello and Tara Kannangara on trumpet. With a profound interest in psychology and personal development, Anastasia Minster’s music offers an experience that resonates with the depth of human emotion and the exploration of the self.
