✨ Small World Music Festival 2022! The Beat of the Globe in the Heart of Toronto
We are so excited to be partnering with our friends at Small World Music to co-present Pantayo at this year’s edition of the Small World Music Fest 2022!
Pantayo is an all-women kulintang ensemble based in Toronto. They combine percussive metallophones and drums from kulintang traditions of Southern Philippines with electronic and synth-based grooves. They also offer music and cultural workshops to teach kulintang. Pantayo explores the possibility of kulintang through their experiences as queer diasporic Filipinas.
Taking place September 16th through 18th at Fort York Garrison Common, join us for a free, family-friendly community celebration of music, dance, craft, food and more! Catch Pantayo’s performance on Sunday, September 18th at 1pm EDT
The festival also features International artists like hypnotic French-Venezuelan singer La Chica, Argentina’s Tanghetto with their neo-tango sound, and the rousing spiritualism of Fareed Ayaz & Abu Muhammad Qawwali from Pakistan.
